Online NLES for the 17th World Transplant Games

Working closely with Allister McCormick - Executive Producer of the 17th World Transplant Games, Jarryd has been designing and rendering titles, graphics and segments for both the opening and closing ceremonies of the games.

Prior to the games, Jarryd researched and implemented a technical workflow to affordably allow editing at an online level using existing Macintosh systems at hand. Processes to capture and handle the broadcast quality Digibeta footage shot daily and stored using RAID data systems all proformed smoothly without a hitch - all without the need for expensive rental equipment.

Jarryd will continue work with Allister after the games, designing and building DVDs for distribution to the many countries whom attended the 17th World Transplant Games.

'Maybe Later' with All Saints

Jarryd has finished DOPing a short film working closely with the All Saints Anglican School class of 2008 drama department. The project was to give students a taste of ‘on set’ life, a chance to act in front of the lens and see themselves up on the big screen.

Steven Lewis, Head of Multi-Media studies at All Saints Anglican School, wrote “Working in a mentoring role, Jarryd has been able to provide guidance with the various technical issues that need to be confronted when producing multimedia content. The Year 12 production was developed as a key component of the Queensland Board of Secondary Schools drama course and was designed to provide experience for students in acting for film from an acting, technical and directing perspective. Jarryd’s involvement provided a unique insight into the world of film production for the students.”

Jarryd will return early November to aid in edit/colour grade post production alongside Steven Lewis in time for screening at the annual All Saints Shindig 2008 film festival, as well in assisting a variety of multimedia projects that will utilize his skills with camera cranes (Jib), steadicam and time lapse cinematography, dvd authoring and video compression.
